Jean Wilson Senior
Owner of Wilson’s Wheels, a garage / chop shop. An thief that is always trying to reform himself Jean started his garage as a way to get clean after his last stint in jail. While the business started well the depression has hit hard, requiring him to take on occasional chop shop work just to break even. While a decent mechanic Jean is notoriously short tempered, which tends to drive away legitimate business and forces him closer to the criminal elements he’s trying to escape.
Traits: Criminal, aggressive, mechanic

Lydia Kosovich
A recent immigrant to the US she is an aspiring (some would say failed) actress trying to earn enough to get to Hollywood where she is convinced she can land an important movie roll. Despite a string of unsuccessful auditions for both theatre and local acting parts she remains incredibly naive and optimistic about her chances of making it big. With her money quickly running out though she’s going to need to make some tough choices if she’s ever going to live the dream.
Traits: Naive, optimistic, desperate

Magda Jones
A Private Investigator working from the other side of town and specialising in insurance claims, a booming business in the current depression. She is diligent, thorough and persistent in her work but somehow seems to keep from attracting the attention of the mob. While generally friendly and approachable she has an extreme dislike of Francis Ryans (though he probably doesn’t even remember her, let alone what he did to upset her). Her husband Jerry works as a cook in one of the many diners by the harbour.
Traits: Thorough, friendly, hiding something.
